City & Guilds Professional Recognition Award Level 5 (Affiliateship)

This qualification is comparable to HND / 3 RD year of a 4-year degree programme, and is designed for line managers who have the responsibility for anticipating, planning, leading change and managing resources across their organisation. The level 5 diploma allows you to strengthen your existing management and leadership skills and enhance your knowledge of the various roles and responsibilities of the line manager. Candidates are required to complete *6 standards to achieve the qualification.

Entry Requirements

You must have Level 4, or HNC or 2 ND year of a 4-year degree programme and additional years’ of working experience in line management.

Course fee

This qualification is a work base Learning with a course fee of GH¢28,250.00 to complete. The fee is payable to Mercia Business School Limited Ghana.

Duration

The diploma can take between 9-12 months Candidates are required to attend an induction onto the course with assessor support as required.

Assessment

Candidates are assessed via a practical work based assignment this ensures you minimise time away from work and you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisations context. Portfolio of evidence is developed throughout the course.

Progression Route

Upon completion of the course candidates can apply for the award of Level 6 Graduateship.

The counterterrorism includes such as techniques, military tactics, law enforcement, intelligence, and incorporates practices. Its main agenda is to investigate terrorist activity. Security management covers all aspects of protecting an organization’s assets – including computers, people, buildings, and other assets – against risk. A security management strategy begins by identifying these assets, developing and implementing policies and procedures for protecting them, and maintaining and maturing these programs over time.

Security Risk Management is the ongoing process of identifying these security risks and implementing plans to address them. Risk is determined by considering the likelihood that known threats will exploit vulnerabilities and the impact they have on valuable assets. Risk consultants identify potential risks that an organisation may face and come up with strategies to mitigate these risks. The role of a risk consultant is for an organisation's protection. The risk consultant works to prevent the company from facing issues in the future.

A security coordinator organizes security procedures for a business, organization, or any other large facility. As the security coordinator, you are also responsible for enforcing security procedures among your guard staff.
